PAUL SLABBERT
Managing Member

Graduated from the Potchefstroom University in 1995 with an honours degree B Art Et Scien. His passion for environmental, heritage & land-use planning with knowledge of associated management strategies enable him to facilitate with all role players and to implement workable policies. His experience in rural and urban conservation with the emphasis on environmental impact and management with focus on sustainable development enabled him to have various publications. He has hands-on expertise in heritage, conservation and recreation discipline with the emphasis on creating economic and employment opportunities. With sufficient practical experience in terms of the criteria of the Interim Certificate Board for Environmental Assessment Practitioners of South Africa (EAPSA) for registration, Paul was registered as an Environmental Assessment Practitioner. He is also a member of the International Association for Impact Assessment (IAIA) and accredited with the Association of Professional Heritage Practitioners – Western Cape (APHP).

AMANDA FRITZ-WHYTE

Graduated from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in 1998 with an Honours Degree in Geology, after which she completed a Masters Degree in Water Resource Management in 2006 through University of Pretoria. She has extensive experience in environmental management in the mining, motor manufacturing and construction industries, with specific reference to impact assessment, pollution management, EMS, water use licencing and auditing. Amanda is a member of Water Institute of South Africa and IAIAsa.

OLIVIA BRUNINGS

Graduated from Stellenbosch University in 2021 with a 4-year BSc Degree in Conservation Ecology. Her key professional interests include the conservation, management, and restoration of natural resources and associated ecosystems. She is particularly passionate about maintaining healthy human-nature connections and advancing sustainability in all sectors of development. She has specialist experience in the field of aquatic ecology with specific reference to impact assessment in the agricultural, residential development, renewable energy, resort development and biodiversity conservation sectors. Throughout her studies, internship, and consultancy experience, she has gained valuable and informed insight into a broad range of topics related to the natural environment, as well as many key research and monitoring skills.

André-Pierre Gouws

Graduated from Stellenbosch University in 2019 with a 4-year BA Honours Degree in Geography & Environmental Studies. He has 3 years of relevant experience in environmental management pertaining to various residential, industrial and civil infrastructure developments, as well as pipeline and powerline projects. His experience also includes the facilitation of water use licencing and environmental compliance auditing. His passion for the environment and sustainable development goals enable him to be independent and transparent in his environmental management and process facilitation. Throughout his studies, internship, and consultancy experience, he has gained valuable and informed insight into a broad range of topics related to environment management, as well as many key research and monitoring skills. He is proficient in Geographic Information System (GIS) software and has a good understanding of the laws and regulations relating to air quality, water, biodiversity, heritage, and waste management in South Africa.
